Dear Students, Staff, Parents, and Members of the Community,

The Steamboat Springs School District Board of Education invites you to participate in the important and exciting process of selecting our next Superintendent.

The Board is working with the superintendent search firm McPherson & Jacobson, LLC to gather community input. Stakeholders will have the opportunity to share their perspectives through both in-person listening sessions and an online survey. Responses gathered through either method will be given equal consideration.

The following four questions will be asked during the in-person sessions and included in the online survey. The online survey will allow stakeholders to respond using a combination of multiple-choice, rating-scale, and open-ended questions:

• What are the strengths of our community?
• What are the strengths of our schools?
• What issues should the superintendent be aware of as they enter the district?
• What skills, qualities, or characteristics should the new superintendent possess to be successful here?

In-person listening sessions will be held on Tuesday, January 27, at the District Office Downstairs Meeting Room, 325 7th Street, at the following times:

• District Staff: 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.
• Parents, Students, and Community Members: 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

The online survey will be open January 20 through February 5, 2026. The survey link is provided below:

La Junta de Educación del Distrito Escolar de Steamboat Springs le invita a participar en el importante y emocionante proceso de seleccionar a nuestro próximo Superintendente.

La Junta está trabajando con la firma de búsqueda de superintendentes McPherson & Jacobson, LLC para recabar las opiniones de la comunidad. Las partes interesadas tendrán la oportunidad de compartir sus perspectivas tanto en sesiones presenciales como a través de una encuesta en línea. Las sesiones presenciales de escucha se llevarán a cabo el Martes, 27 de Enero, en la Sala de Reuniones de la Planta Baja de la Oficina del Distrito, ubicada en 325 Calle 7 (325 7th Street), en los siguientes horarios:

• Personal del Distrito: 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.
• Padres y Miembros de la Comunidad: 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
